Privacy Policy
This website is published by Shelfless on behalf of the author Harry Dayle. This policy explains what information is processed when you visit it, and why.
The short version
This site has no forms, no accounts, no newsletter and no advertising. It does not set cookies or use tracking scripts, and it does not try to identify you.
Who is responsible for your information
Shelfless is responsible for this website. If you have any questions about this policy or about your information, email info@shelfless.co.uk.
Information processed when you visit
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request so it can send you the page and protect the site from abuse: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser’s user agent and the referring page. This information is used only to run and secure the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. We only see aggregated figures, such as page views and countries, and never information that identifies you.
Fonts and images are served from this website itself. The site does not load content from Google or any other third party while you browse it.
If you email us
If you email Harry or Shelfless, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We keep the correspondence for as long as it’s needed for that conversation, and we never add you to a mailing list or share your details.
Links to bookshops
Book pages link to online bookshops and audiobook services such as Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play. When you follow one of those links you leave this site, and that retailer’s own privacy policy applies. Some of these links are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, the retailer may pay a small commission, at no extra cost to you. To do this, the retailer may record that you arrived from this site.
Your rights
Under data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email info@shelfless.co.uk to make a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or the CNIL in France.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies. See the cookie policy for details.
